Doctrine
Our Beliefs
The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, and it is the rule for what we believe, teach, and practice.
Confession
The New Hampshire Confession of Faith
Immanuel Baptist Church subscribes to the New Hampshire Confession of Faith, a historic Baptist confession that gives a clear and concise summary of Christian doctrine.
The confession summarizes Baptist faith under headings such as Scripture, the true God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, justification, repentance and faith, sanctification, the perseverance of saints, the gospel church, baptism and the Lord’s Supper, the Lord’s Day, civil government, and the world to come.
Emphases
What We Emphasize
- Scripture: God’s Word shapes our worship, preaching, discipleship, and mission.
- The Gospel: Salvation is wholly of grace through the mediatorial work of Jesus Christ.
- The Church: A gospel church is a congregation of baptized believers gathered in covenant fellowship.
- Baptism and the Lord’s Supper: We practice believer’s baptism and remember Christ together at the Lord’s table.
- Mission: Christ sends His people to make disciples near and far.
Worship
Why We Worship the Way We Do
When we gather, we read Scripture, pray, sing, hear the preaching of God’s Word, and respond together in faith. Our worship is simple on purpose: centered on Christ, shaped by the Bible, and open to all who desire to seek the Lord.
